Jui Pendharkar, Aadi Chitnis, Jennifer Verghese, Jayesh Kulkarni and Disha Girdhar triumphed in their respective categories in Shivaji Nagar Open Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organised under the auspices of Nagpur District Table Tennis Association at Shakti Club TT hall on Friday.
In the youth girls final, Jui Pendharkar defeated Disha Girdhar 11-7, 11-8, 12-10, 9-11, 7-11, 12-10. Aadi Chitnis added another feather to his cap by winning youth boys title. In the process he defeated Jayesh Kulkarni 11-9,6-11,11-6,9-11,9-11,11-7,12-10. In the junior girls final, Jennifer Varghese pipped Ananya Sakalkale 7-11 ,11-1,11-3,11-9,3-11,5-11,12-10 in marathon seven games.
In the men’s final, Jayesh Kulkarni overcame the spirited challenge of Panav Kale 11-7,11-13,11-7,11-9,8-11,9-11,11-3. Disha Girdhar bagged women singles crown defeating Isha Ambaikar 9-11,11-7,4-11,11-9, 11-6,11-4.
