Ansh Dhanvij emerged winner in the One Day Under-20 Rapid Chess Tournament organised by Anand Buddhibal Mandal at- Anand Chess Academy & Chanakya Chess Academy Shankar Nagar Square, here on Sunday.
Dhanvij and Salil Deogade earned seven points each. However, on the basis of tie-breaker Dhanvij was declared winner while Deogade finished runners-up. Khush Wairagade achieved third place with 6.5 points whereas Himanshu Jethwani achieved fourth place.
The prizes were distributed at the hands of Ravi Kale, Medha Ghatate and Satish Ghatate. President of Anand Buddhibal Madal Rahul Joshi, Jitendra Thakre, chief arbiter Pravin Pantawane and assistant arbiter Shrikant Bagde, were also present on the occasion.
Final standings: 1. Dhanvij Ansh (7), Deogade Salil (7), 3. Wairagade Khush (6.5, 38), 4. Himanshu Jethwani (6, 38.5), 5. Bodkhe Aditya (6, 36.5), 6. Ramteke Sumedh (6, 35.5), 7. Bahadure Shreyas (6, 35), 8. Vivaan Vijay Saraogi (6, 33.5), 9. Harsh Sharad Motghare (5.5, 34), 10. Krishna Taori (5.5, 31).
