With the Maharashtra Forest officials being totally busy in their 33 crore tree plantation program, Chandrapur district noticed the death of three tigers on Monday morning. In a horrific event, the Tigers were found lying dead near the lake of Metapar village when the people around visited the spot of the incident.
The deaths of two cubs of around eight to ten months and a tigress have raised doubts on the security of Maharashtra Governments, Tiger Conservation Program. Carcasses of the cats have been taken into custody by the forest department and further post mortem is being held on the bodies.
“Reason of death is still unknown but the body scans will clear up the causeâ€, said the forest officials. The dead felines were found in Metapar village at Chimur forest range, also nearby a dead chital was found which is being assumed to be hunted by the Tigers.
