Vidarbha continued to sizzle under intense heat as several districts recorded temperatures above 40°C today. Nagpur and Brahmpuri emerged as the hottest places, both touching a scorching 43.6°C.
Amravati (42.4°C), Akola and Wardha (42.0°C each), and Bhandara (42.6°C) also remained firmly in the grip of heatwave conditions. Yavatmal wasn’t far behind, logging 41.4°C, while Gondia recorded 40.8°C.

Relatively lower—but still high—temperatures were recorded in Chandrapur (37.8°C), Gadchiroli (37.0°C), Washim (38.0°C), and Buldana, which offered the only major relief at 36.6°C.
With no major relief expected soon, authorities are urging citizens to take necessary precautions.
