Two persons including a three-month infant were killed and five seriously injured when their car in which they were traveling rammed into a stationary truck after hitting a wild boar on Nagpur-Jabalpur four-lane in Pawni. The incident happened 10 pm on Wednesday.
According to police, Daharwal family of Kurai (Madhya Pradesh) was going to Nagpur by their car bearing No. MH 49/As 3749. Suddenly a wild boar came into the way near Chindhai Mata temple. The driver Ashfaque was puzzled and lost control of the steering.
The car crushed the wild boar and hit a stationary truck bearing No. JJ01/DX 1875.
The intensity of the accident was so high the front portion of car was damaged badly. Ramkishore Devilal Daharwal (45) died on the spot.
Dr Govind Daharwal (45), Dipti Govind Daharwal (35), Piyush Daharwal (5), Roshni Ajay Shivne (25), Kavya Ajay Singh Shivne (3 months) and driver Ashfaque Shabbir Khan were injured. Devlapar police station in-charge Praveen Borkute along with police personnel reached the spot.
Injured were admitted to Devlapar rural hospital where Kavya Singh died during treatment.
It is learnt that Daharwal family was going to Nagpur for the treatment of Kavya. Devlapar police are investigating the matter.
