Emphasis will be given on solving all the problems of women and children in the city, said newly elected women and child welfare committee chairman Sangeeta Girhe while addressing a meeting held at Nagpur Municipal Corpration’s office.
Sangeeta Girhe recently took charge as the Chairman of Women and Child Welfare Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. She said that she will keep working on various schemes implemented by the Women and Child Welfare Committee and the Social Welfare Department. Some pending plans will also be completed soon. “This year we will also focus on the completion of new schemes”, she added.
Members of West Nagpur Sudhakar Deshmukh, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Standing Committee Chairman Pradeep Pohane, Opposition Leader Tanaji Vanwe, Chairman of the Standing Committee, Pragati Patil, Committee Deputy Presidency Divya Dhurde were present .
During the meeting Mayor Nanda Jichkar said, “The women and child welfare committee has been specially installed to learn and deal with the problems of women and children in the city. She expressed her belief that Sangeeta Girhe will do this task successfully.
Former Speaker Pragati Patil congratulated the newly elected Speaker Sangeeta Girhe. At the beginning of the program, the coronation was offered to the image of Saraswati Devi and Savitribai Phule. The program was organized and thanked by Vishaka Mohod.
