An international ultra runner of the city Atul Choukse will run Nagpur to Pachmarhi 333-km distance from Sunday. After the completion of his run he will also participate in Pachmarhi Marathon to be held on July 21. Addressing media persons Choukse said, “Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has supported me in this mission. “I have completed my computer course from IGNOU and now want to give back to the society. To tell the people about importance of learning I will run 333-km from Nagpur to Pachmarhi.”
Choukse said on the route he will make the people aware about importance of education through skits and street plays in school, colleges, markets and public places. Choukse said he will start his expedition on Sunday at 6 am from Ramgiri and will run towards Saoner, Sausar, Chhindwara, Parasia, Junardeo, Tamiva, Matkuli and finally will teach to Pachmarhi.
It can be mentioned here that Choukse has already completed 257 kilometres Sahara Desert, the world’s toughest Ultra Marathon and has also participated in  “Khardung La Challenge” 72-km ultra marathon along with 42 in ‘Ladakh Marathon’ on the same day and got two medals for running 114 kilometres in a day. Meanwhile director of Pachmarhi Marathon Mitesh Rambhia has informed that the event has attracted around 1000 entries. Assistant regional director of IGNOS Shashikumar Brumot and assistant executive BS Deshpande were also present at the press conference.
