Additional Municipal Commissioner Aziz Shaikh, NMC, at a review meeting on Saturday, said Nagpur Municipal Administration is ready for the convenience of devotees going to Hajj Yatra, which is to be worshiped by Muslims, and that the pilgrims will not be disturbed. The meeting was held at Hajj House on Central Avenue Road to review the facilities to Muslim travelers going to Haj Yatra.
Senior corporator Dayashankar Tiwari, Assistant commissioner of Gandhinagar zone and Nodal officer appointed for Haj pilgrims, Ashok Patil, executive engineer Manoj Ganveer, executive engineer of electrical department, A S Mankar, Assistant Commissioner of Hanuman Nagar Zone Raju Bhivgade and Health Officer (Sanitation) Dr. Sunil Kamble, were present during the meeting.
A large number of Muslims from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, come to Nagpur to go on Haj Yatra. Their accommodation is arranged at Hajj House. This year, around 3,000 Muslims will travel from Nagpur to Hajj pilgrimage. Shaikh said that care is being taken to avoid any kind of inconvenience to the pilgrims, while giving special attention to all the facilities needed while staying at Haj House.
Senior corporator Dayashankar Tiwari also made some suggestions during the meeting. He instructed to provide clean drinking water, proper arrangement, cleanliness, proper arrangement of mobile toilets in the premises, proper power system, medical team of health department, ambulance, fire brigade and all other departments on priority base. After the meeting, all the dignitaries reviewed the tour of the Haj House area.
