Chandrayan-2 a space exploration exhibition and a new Mobile Science Exhibition (MSE) titled “Science is Syllabus†was inaugurated by S.V.C. Kamesvar Rao, General Manger, RRSC, ISRO, Nagpur, at Raman Science Centre (RSC).
The science fair was inaugurated in the presence of Rajkumar Avsare , State Institute of Science Education, Nagpur and Manoj Kumar Panda, Curator, Raman Science Centre, Nagpur. The exhibition includes graphics panels on Chandrayan-2 and the MSE contains working models on various scientific concepts based on science syllabus from class 6th to 10th.
The exhibits include Steam Turbine, Logitudinal, Transverse waves, Parallel and Series Electric Circuits, Friction: A Necessary Evil, Atomic Structure, Human Brain, States of Matter, Kinetic and Potential Energy, Solar Energy and 20 nos are fitted in MSE Bus for conducting Mobile Science Exhibitions in rural schools beginning from 23 July.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao explained the benefits and importance of Chandrayan -2 and also highlighted the objectives achieved in the Mission Chandrayan -1. He also spoke on function of GSLV Mk-III, Launcher, Orbiter, Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover to inspire children on India’s indigenously developed space technology of Chndrayan-2.
During the workshop, Avsare highlighted the achievement of Indian students at the international level and requested students to innovate for survival. He also expressed his views on MSE models of different scientific concepts.
Speaking of the exhibits developed for Mobile Science Exhibition by Raman Science Centre, Nagpur, Rao said he is happy and requested to send the models to rural areas for communicating science.
