No basic medical facilities available in Gadchiroli, tractor used as ambulance
Gadchiroli: The mighty promises of Central and state government about boosting health facilities are nothing but a disappointment in Gadchiroli District. There are no amenities for the transportation of a patient from a rural area to the district hospital.
At some places, people are facing major problems as they have to cross the Naxal affected areas to reach the nearby hospital in the district.
However, the condition seems to worsen here as the villagers are left with no other option but to use tractor-trolleys as an ambulance to take the patient to the hospital.
One such disappointing incident came into light from Etapalli Tehsil, where a pregnant woman from Wasmundi village was taken to a hospital in a tractor-trolley. The hospital is around 7 Km away from the Wasmundi village.
The authorities fail to provide basic medical facilities to the villagers due to which many patients have lost their lives as proper treatment was not provided to the patients on time.
