Reserve Bank of India (RBI) ‘A’ defeated RBI ‘B’ 2-0 to retain the title in Inter-Bank Badminton Tournament organised by Bankers’ Sports Council at Dhanwate National College badminton hall, here on Saturday.
In the first single Raghavendra Chati defeated V defeated 15-8, 15-9. In the second single Pranav Lokhande got the better of G Gupta 15-9, 15-6. In the men’s singles, Pranav Lokhande defeated his arch rival Raghavendra Chati in two games 21-15, 21-17.
This is second year in succession that Lokhande emerged winner. Six teams in team championship and 24 shuttlers in the men’s singles events participated. Kunal Dasarwar was the chief referee and he was assisted by CP Karkar. BSC president Ramesh Thakur, vice-president Sharad Padhye, secretary Prafull Nandedkar, Ravi Joshi, CD Manke, Mangesh Puranik, Ravi Joshi, Sanjay Vinchurkar and others were present during the final.
