Nagpur’s Suhan Deshpande emerged winner in Below 1600 FIDE Rating Chess Tournamant 2019 organised by Jai Sewa Foundation at Naivedyam Northstar, Koradi here on Sunday.
Deshpande, Ajinkya Nichat and Prathmesh Dharmadhikari earned eight points each in nine-round tournament . However on the basis of tie-breaker Deshpande (8, 51.5) was declared champion. Nichat (8, 50.5) finished runners up whereas Dharmadhikari secured third place with (8, 45) points. IM Anup Deshmukh was the chief guest of prize distribution funciton. Manager of  Naivedyam North Star Ravish Kale, Manish Tiwari, organising secretary . Sushant Jumde,  DCA organising secretary  Umesh Panbude and chief arbiter IA Swapnil Bansod also graced the occasion. Prize distribution conducted by FA Deepak Chavan.
Final ranking: 1.Deshpande Suhan (8, 51.5), 2. Nichat Ajinkya (8, 50.5), 3. Prathmesh Dharmadhikari (8, 45), Vishwanath Kannam (7.5, 52), 5.Bodkhe Aditya (7.5, 47.5), 6. Mudliyar Kshitij (7.5, 46.5), 7. Raut Kailash (7.5, 45), 8.Satyam Prakash (7, 52), 9. Qureshi A S (7, 52), 10. Das Jitendra Kumar (7, 51.5).
