Three players shared the lead with six points each at the end of sixth round of Below 1600 FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2019 organised by Jai Sai Welfare Foundation at Naivedhyam Northstar, Koradi here on Saturday.
Those who emerged joint leaders include Piyush Narsikar, AS Qureshi and Jitendra Kumar Das.
On top board, Narsikar defeated Muralilal Kori in 65 moves with English opening. On second board, AS Qureshi of Chhattisgarh outwitted Gokula Vishnu of Tamil Nadu in 50 moves with dutch defence opening. On the third board, Jitendra Kumar Das of Odisha defeated Maharashtra lad Iyer Arvind in 58 moves. The joint leaders were followed by Ajinkya Nichat, Siddik Akbar and Kshiti Mudliar with 5.5 points.
