Young Boys FC thrashed Rohit Friends 4-0 in the ongoing Sahare Memorial Vidarbha-level Football Tournament jointly organised by Aai Kusum Sahare Foundation and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) at Reshimbagh ground, here on Wednesday.
Thanks to Giftson Saji who scored three goals in 10 th, 23rd and 40th minutes. He was well supported by Shambhu Kanojia (31st min). In another match COSMO FC drubbed Mohan Nagar Boys 5-0
In the very first minute Rishi Pawar drew the first blood. In the 19th minute Pranay Bhandekar struck to increase the lead 2-0. In the 25th minute Pawar scored his second goal to put COSMO in commanding position.Ten minutes later Raju Mishra made the equation 4-0. Bhandekar again struck in the 42nd minute to ensure the big win.
BPS Boys got the better of Young Man Ramtem 5-4 via tie-breaker. The score was equalised (2-2) during the regulation time.
Omprakash Uikey scored two goals for Young Man in the 28th and 31st minutes. For BPS Boys, Ravi Roka (46th min) and Zubin Peter (49 th min) netted the goals.
In tie-breaker, Akash Yarpool, Arjun Rooka and Aavi Rooka found the net for BPB Boys. For Young Man, Omprakash Ukey and Abhishek Khatote were the goal scorers.
Mecosabagh Boys pipped Rohan FC 6-5 via sudden death. The score was nil during the regulation time. Even in tie-breaker the deadlock was continued as both the teams scored five goals each. For Mecosabagh Rajju Khan, Rocky David, Vijay Alloshiesh, Yash Peter and Rohit Deshbhratar found the net. For Rohan FC, Pankaj Badole, Varun Gajhbiye, Rohan Salave, Ajinket Ramteke and Vikas Meshram scored the goals. In sudden death Praveen Chawan slammed the winning goal for Mecosabagh Boys.
