Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) organised a tree plantation drive on Friday, supporting the Maharashtra Government idea of planting 33 Crores trees in a year. The tree plantation drive was held on the MMLP MIHAN plot of CONCOR.
Members of CONCOR along with the invited guests, planted three hundred trees in a day on the plot, as a target set for the whole CONCOR family. The aim was to be a part of the green drive initiated by the Maharashtra Government and to contribute their part towards mother earth and nature.
The tree plantation drive aims to plant as many trees to save the earth from depletion. Similarly contribute towards the ecological balance, microhabitat formation and spread a green cover over the world.
The plantation was done by the hands of Anup kumar Satapathy (IRTS), Chief General Manager, Central Region/CONCOR Nagpur and other CONCOR members. During the plantation the commissioner of customs/ ICD Nagpur, Pinky Baskey was also present along with Santosh Kumar Singh, Chief Manager Civil officials, Importers, Exporters, Custom House Agents, Shipping Line Members COCOR’s service provider and other dignitaries.
