“I like people who can get the things done†said Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitinji Gadkari while speaking as a Chief Guest at 2 day CA Student’s Conference organized by Board of Studies, ICAI, New Delhi and hosted by Nagpur Branch of WIRC and Nagpur Branch of WICASA of ICAI. The 4 most important aspects of leadership are – Team Work, Transparency, Commitment and Vision. Take decisions with full transparency while keeping in mind innovations and creativity to excel in all walks of life said Hon’ Nitinji Gadkari.
He termed Chartered Accountants to be the epitome of knowledge and said that CA’s are the Growth Engine of the Economy. He remarked that time has now come for CA’s to convert their strength of knowledge into more innovative technology and to work for financial stability of our country guiding the clients in the field of economic, marketing and administration. Gadkariji said that CA’s are financial doctors but along with this financial learning CA’s should look for innovative technology to work for financial stability of their clients. Conversion of this knowledge of CA’s into action would build the future of our country, he said.
The expectations from Chartered Accountants has increased from managing GST and Income Tax to managing the affairs of clients while guiding on economics, marketing, administration and assisting in Vision and Goal Setting, urged Gadkariji. The whole world is changing. He remarked that Technology and optimum use of resources are not the only things, appropriate vision and leadership are equally important without which goal of perfection cannot be achieved. He pointed out that mistakes are bound to happen in projects but while unintentional mistakes can well be covered the malafide intentions need to be punished. There are a lots of ups and downs in life but if you keep walking with positive attitude everything is possible, Nitin said.
Union Minister urged the CA Students while terming them as future of Young India that Practical knowledge is very important. Book knowledge is merely information, he said while addressing 700+ students. He asked the students to keep the spirit with knowledge to take informed decisions. “You should be loyal to your profession†he demanded. Don’t break the law and keep professional ethics on your top priority.
Nitinji Gadkari pointed out that the population of our country is very big and the problem of unemployment is much bigger. With agricultural operations getting a hit due to incessant monsoons and problem of floods plaguing the country, the Indian economy needs a big boost. He narrated that as a MSME Minister, he is trying to promote Indian Companies to work for preparing items which can act as substitutes of items imported by our country. To make India self-sufficient we need to reduce imports and press for Make in India initiative. He cited the example of promoting Bio fuel for attaining indigenous independence. CA Julfesh Shah welcomed Gadkariji with a floral bouquet.
