I do not support foreign investments in the country but there is no reason to oppose it. The money in the country should be invested in the country and industries should be increased. Production should be huge. After fulfilling the needs of the nation, the remaining production should be exported and employment should increase. This is possible through small and medium industries and they should take the initiative. The government is ready to help, stated Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday.
He was speaking on the topic ‘Suksham, Laghu ani madhyam Udyog: Samagra Niti’ during the ongoing Laghu Bharati silver jubilee convention at Kavivarya Suresh Bhatt hall in Reshimbagh. RSS Sahsirkaryavah Dr. Krishnagopal, Laghu Udyog Bharti president Jitendra Gupta, maha mantra Govind Lele, Omprakash Mittal, and Sudhir Date were present on the dais.
There is huge demand for products from small industries through Alibaba and Amazon. Honey produced in Himalaya is sold at Rs 70 thousand a kg. However, the tasty and nutritious honey produced in our forests does not fetch even Rs hundred.
This is the fault of marketing and it will be removed by launching a web portal for MSME through Bharat Craft and Gem. It is my target that this website should give an annual turnover of Rs 10 lakh crores, Gadkari stated. There are several issues in the country but banning it is not the remedy. The remedy is to find alternatives. The use of plastics is large and why should it be banned for the environment? Instead of this, it is necessary to bring alternatives.
Hence environmental friendly technology is being brought from Brazil and a new type of plastic is being produced and MSME should take the initiative in this. Efforts are being taken to remove government bottlenecks for various small industries. A decision to give payment to this sector within 45 days, will soon be announced, Gadkari assured. Former Sirsanghchalak Sudarshan believed that fuel could be produced from oilseeds produced in the country but people used to laugh at this and say that it was not possible. But I joined him and showed the truth of his statement. I was practically able to say that lakhs of people could get employment through this. Small industries should believe in this. Five crore new jobs could be created from this, Gadkari stated.
Though the population of the country is 130 crores, imports are huge. Small and medium industries have to fill this gap. For this, the government should implement a proper policy and put stress on production that should be sufficient for 165 crore people. The needs of Indians would be fulfilled and exports would increase, appealed Sahsirkaryavah Dr. Krishnagopal.
