Ansh Dhanvij emerged winner in JCI Nagpur One Day Rapid Chess Tournament organised by Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation and Vidarbha Chess Academy, in association with G H Raisoni Sport & Cultural Foundation at Shri Mohini Complex, Â Kingsway.
Dhanvij along with Saurabh Lokhande and Kshitij Mudliyar earned seven points each. However, on the basis of tie-breaker, Dhanvij was declared winner followed by Lokhande for second place. Mudliyar achieved third place.
In the last round, on top board, Lokhande defeated Mudliyar whereas Dhanvij outclassed Arush Chitre Soham Chhhabda and Nilesh Wasnik settled to a draw.
The prize was distributed by hands of  Director, J Rana Pharmaceuticals  Javed Khan Rana. The other dignitaries present were president of  JCI Nagpur Vijay Pal Dularia, secretary of  Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation  Bhushan Shriwas, NDCA organising secretary Umesh Panbude,  chief arbiter  Pravin Pantawane, assistant arbiter  Amit Tembhurne, and  Swati Kumbhalkar.
Final ranking: 1. Dhanvij Ansh (7, 41), 2. Saurabh Lokhande (7, 40), 3. Mudliyar Kshitij (7, 38), 4. Wanjari Krupal (6, 39.5), 5. Mayur Shelke (6, 38.5), 6. Nilesh Wasnik (6, 38.5), 7. Chitre Arush (6, 38), 8. Nitin Dnyaneshwar Ramteke (6, 37.5).
