Gondia: Gondia district has been receiving incessant rain since last one week. The continuous rains have risen up the water storage level at most of the water bodies in the district.
So far the district has recorded 880.17mm rainfall with an average of 84% of the normal rainfall till August 27. Itiadoh Dam in Arjuni Morgaon tehsil is filled up to 93.11% and the risk of overflow is high if the rains continue.
The continuous rains in the district also caused some loss to citizens as cattle sheds and houses are damaged. In Khairlanji 9 houses were damaged.
As per the information this is happening after a gap of six years. As compared to last year the water storage was only 60.13%.

Gondia – 883.75 mm (92 %)
Goregaon – 930.73 mm (82 %)
Tirora – 742.78 mm (83 %)
Arjuni Morgaon – 928.57 mm (82 %)
Deori – 782.35 mm (75 %)
Amgaon – 962.92 mm (85 %)
Salekasa – 805.55 mm (71 %)
SadakArjuni– 1031.70mm (94 %)
