Under the auspices of South Central Zone Cultural Center, Nagpur and Government Art and Design a drama “Jagdamba” was staged on the biography of Kasturba Gandhi, recently at SCZCC premises.
The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Vaishali Dakhole, Principal of Somalwar High School and Mr. Vinod Mankar, the founder of Government Design College, Mr. and Mrs. Pandit lit the lamp.
South Central Zone Cultural Center, Nagpur Director Dr. Deepak Khirvadkar, Deputy Director Mr. Mohan Parkhi, Program Officer Mr. Gopal Betawar, Mr. Shashank Dande, Mr. Deepak Patil, Mr. Srikant Desai were present.
All aspects of Kasturba Gandhi’s life and struggle with Mahatma Gandhi were shown through this play. The performance was well appreciated by the audience. “Jagdamba†was penned by Ramdas Bhatkar, while Sana Pandit produced it.
The play was screened by Mrs. Rupali Kondewar and Vrishali Deshpande. Â Mr. Vinay Modak and Mrs. Shweta Shukla-Shelgaonkar were in the lead roles. Â The event was well attended by all the art lovers.
