Nagpur’s Dr Shruti Niraj Sawalakhe has made the city proud by clinching the first runner-up title at the prestigious Mrs India Once in a Million 2025 pageant, held recently at The Leela Palace in Delhi.
Organised by Forever India Events, the four-day event brought together 57 finalists who were shortlisted from over 3,700 participants from India and abroad.
Dr Shruti stood out with her stellar performances across key segments of the competition — including the Talent Round, National Costume Round, Interview Round, and Cultural Round.
“The crown is more than a recognition — it’s a responsibility to be a voice, to spark confidence, and to inspire women across generations,” said Dr Shruti after her win.
A dental surgeon by profession, she also holds two fellowships in cosmetology and an MBA in Hospital Management. She is the proud mother of Jay Sawalakhe, a former National and Asian chess champion.
Dr Shruti credited much of her strength and motivation to the unwavering support of her husband, Dr Niraj.
