Actor and television personality Shekhar Suman brought his trademark humour and political satire to the latest episode of his YouTube show Shekhar Tonite, where he poked fun at Aamir Khan’s recent marriage to Gauri Spratt. Beginning the segment on a complimentary note, Shekhar praised Aamir’s influence and achievements before steering the conversation towards comedy.
Calling the actor an inspiration for perseverance, he joked that politicians could learn a thing or two from Aamir when it comes to building alliances. “People say politicians are experts at forming alliances, but perhaps they should take lessons from Aamir Khan,” Shekhar remarked, setting the tone for a series of playful jokes.
Referring to Aamir’s third marriage, the comedian quipped that while governments often struggle to operate a “double-engine” administration, the actor appeared to be successfully managing a “triple-engine” setup. He also indulged in wordplay involving Gauri Spratt’s name, adding another layer of humour to the segment.
Continuing his monologue, Shekhar compared Aamir to a high-performance engine capable of running on multiple fuels simultaneously, joking that despite the different combinations, the “engine” continued to move smoothly towards a new destination.
The jokes didn’t stop there. Drawing parallels with politics once again, Shekhar humorously suggested that Aamir had formed a government with a full majority for the third time, adding that even political leaders might view him as competition in that regard. The actor-comedian also referred to reports that Aamir’s former wives and children attended the wedding celebrations, describing the gathering as a perfect example of the idea that the world is one family.
Ending the segment with another light-hearted remark, Shekhar linked Aamir’s long-standing “Mr Perfectionist” image to his personal life, joking that the actor keeps working at something until he perfects it. Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt tied the knot in a private registered ceremony held at the actor’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area on July 5. The intimate celebration was attended by close family members and a small circle of friends.
Photographs from the ceremony showed the couple completing the registration formalities, while family members, including Aamir’s children, were also part of the occasion. Aamir and Gauri are believed to have known each other for more than two decades after first meeting in Bengaluru. Although they remained in touch over the years, reports suggest they reconnected in 2023 and later began a relationship.
Gauri has worked in the fashion and beauty industry and has also been associated with projects linked to Aamir Khan Productions.
