The Department of Cooperation has made the Diploma in Cooperative Management (DCM) mandatory for employees working in cooperative societies. To enable employees to pursue the course while continuing their jobs, the programme is being offered through distance learning mode.
The Maharashtra State Cooperative Union has also introduced the course through postal mode at 13 cooperative training centres across the state to create employment opportunities for educated unemployed youth in the cooperative sector.
Admissions for the Diploma in Cooperative Management (DCM) course are open until July 31 at the N.L. Rao Cooperative Training Centre, Cooperative Mandir, Tilak Road, Mahal, Nagpur, which functions under the Maharashtra State Cooperative Union Ltd., Pune. The course session will continue until December 31.
For candidates sponsored by cooperative societies, the minimum eligibility is passing Class 10 along with at least six months of work experience in a cooperative institution. For private candidates, the minimum qualification required is passing Class 12.
