Under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME MSMEs have been trained to educate the unemployed at Parampara Lawn in Wardhman Nagar on Sept 01, 2019, in collaboration with Vikas Sanstha Nagpur and Swamy Foundation. A self-employment motivation campaign was organized to raise awareness about the scheme. Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the event.
Former Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopade presided over the program, and Greencrude and Biofuel Foundation president Dr. Hemant Jambhekar, MSME, Director Vikas Sanstha Nagpur, P.M. Parlewar, and Swamy Foundation President Anil Chavan were prominently present at the occasion.
The imports of incense in our country are coming from China and this is affecting the agarbatti business in the country. Gadkari said that the government has decided to increase the import duty on Agarbatti by 30 percent.
MSME is the country’s national income. The sector contributes 29 percent, generates a turnover of Rs 71 thousand crore and exports 40 percent through this sector and has so far provided employment to 11 crore people. Now the sector will contribute 50 percent of its national income, 50 percent of its exports and turnover of up to one and a half lakhs, Gadkari added.
The objective of the campaign was to guide and motivate the youth for self-employment and spread awareness about the schemes implemented by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. During this campaign, demonstrations of small industrial plants were shown. The District Industries Center, Khadi Rural Industrial Corporation, Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrialization Institute (Amigiri) Wardha informed the youth about financial planning and activities. In addition, information stalls were also set up at Bank India, Greenwood and Biofuel Foundation, Nagpur Agarbatti Cluster Institute.
Youths, members of women’s savings group, local people’s representatives were present in the program.
