Villagers of Fetri, Yerla, Saoli, Khadgaon, and other nearby areas are living in fear as a tiger is venturing in the area for the last week. As per information the beast killed one calf near Maruti Mandir at Fetri on Friday.
A rescue team and a team of field staff members of the Forest Department are deployed to track the beast and they have also installed two cameras at strategic points in Nagpur and Kalmeshwar Forest Ranges. The information regarding the presence of the big cat was given by a shepherd who saw the tiger when it killed the calf.
Meanwhile, Forest department officials patrolled the area and asked the villagers to take due care while moving out in agriculture fields and jungle areas, especially during morning and evening hours.
