A new move by Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (Central Mard), as they recently appealed the government to take a positive decision in relation with their stipend hike in the forthcoming cabinet meet which is scheduled to be held prior to the election.
In this context, the officials of the Central Mard along with the resident doctors have met the Health Minister as well as the Finance Minister and requested a positive action on this and approve the report for stipend hike prepared by the High Power Committee before code of conduct. Since last year, they are demanding the hike of stipend from 5000 INR to 7500 INR of resident doctors.

The General Secretary of Central Mard Dr Vijay Rathore of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) has commented that the government is expected to take a positive decision. He added that the High power committee is doing a wonderful job and they are expecting positive note from the final cabinet meeting.
