The wild cat which has sighted recently near Fetri has not captured yet, and the forest officials have warned the villagers of Borgaon to avoid going to the territory of the tiger.
Range Forest Officer, Seminary Hills, Vijay Gangawane, informed that forest was allowed the tiger to consume the cow killed by it and not disturbing it. The reason they pointed is that the big cat is in transition phase and there are possibilities that the tiger will leave the place after satisfying its hunger.
Forest Department has installed six camera traps in Borgaon jungle while the teams would check cameras early in the morning on Tuesday. They conducted monitoring and patrolling throughout the night to ensure the safety of the villagers. About 30 field staff and STPF jawans were deployed to monitor and patrol the jungle.
It should be noted that previously the subadult tiger has killed some domestic animals in Fetri, Borgaon and nearby villages. However, the Range Forest official said that it was a rumour and no need to create panic about the situation.
