The incident was reported at Warud tehsil in Amravati district where seven daughters not only shouldered their deceased father’s body to the crematorium but also lit their father’s pyre.
According to the sources Vitthalrao Lokhande, 92, passed away due to old age on Wednesday. He had seven daughters Shobha, Pushpa, Sulochana, Mala, Swati, Sudha and Tai Lokhande. The sisters are married and are living with their in-laws but after getting the news of their father’s demise they reached Warud and carried out all the rituals.
