Hislop College emerged overall champion with 16 points in Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Inter-College Sports Festival that was organised by Dhanwate National College on Saturday.
With badminton boys and girls titles, football boys and third place in chess, Hislop won the general championship.
SSNJ Devli College finished runners up with 10 points. They won kabaddi men and women titles whereas Br. Sheshrao Wankhede College achieved third place with six points winning women volleyball title and third place in the men’s volleyball.
Director of Department of Sports and Physical Education of RTM Nagpur University Dr Sharad Suryavanshi was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. Vice-president of Shivaji Education Society Gajanan Fundkar presided over the function. Member of College Welfare Committee Balasaheb  Deshmukh, principal Dr Surendra Jichkar, Subhash Theng, Dr Mahendra Dhore, Dr Devendra Wankhede also shred the dais.
In his speech, Dr Suryavanshi congratulated the winners and urged the students to work hard and maintain the discipline.
All the winners, runners-up got the cash prizes and trophies. Dr Surendra Jichkar made introductory remarks. Dr MS Wankhede and Dr Archana Deshmukh conducted the proceedings while Dr Subhash Dadhe proposed a vote of thanks.
