A month before the upcoming Assembly elections Nagpur Collector Ashwin Mudgal has been transferred. Mudgal has now been assigned as Additional Commissioner (Revenue).

The move came after the allegation of default was reported against Mudgal during the Loksabha elections. The transfer order was given by Election Commission.
Ravindra Thakare will now take the charge as the new Collector of the city from Saturday.
