The problem of stray animals on roads is not a new phenomenon in Nagpur. Recently, there were many reports published which had pointed out the menace of the stray animals and how these animals ruining the traffic system of the city. And the stray bulls are no exception. To check the menace of stray bulls, the civic body has hired a skilled squad from Tamilnadu to catch them. The squad is supposed to arrive in the city on Monday. Now the authorities have said that the squads will arrive in the city in a day or two. As per the source, there are around 250 bulls estimated in the city.
As per information, the special squad is led by R Rajkumar from Tamil Nadu and they will be paid Rs.2500 per bull for catching. And the squad is said to have consist of 10 people.
Earlier also the NMC has started the bull catching drive but the protest from cowmen has deferred the project. As per information, now the city police will associate with the project for keeping the law and order during the drive. The Kondwada department of NMC has issued a letter to the police department in this regard.
