The Congress on Thursday named 17 more candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections, taking the total to 140 party nominees for the elections to the 288-member assembly.
The Congress party has fielded Ashish Deshmukh from Nagpur South West against Bhartiya Janta Party and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Maharashtra Assembly Polls will be held on October 21 and results will be out on October 24.
