Recently after receiving information, the Food and Drugs Administration has carried out a raid on RK Traders in Dharampeth area and confiscated over 161.5 kgs of scented tobacco and pan masala worth Rs.1.20 lakh. The FDA has taken six samples for analysis and other stocks were confiscated as per the provisions of FDA laws, and the office has been sealed.
As per information, banned items like pan masala (Panbahar Vimal) scented tobacco (Rimzim) chewing tobacco (baba black) were found kept for sale in this shop. The raid was taken under the supervision of FDA joint commissioner (food) Chandrakant Pawar.
And the FDA has provided the helpline number 0712-256224 for the citizens, if they found selling banned gutkha and related items, the citizens can inform the office for taking effective measures. The shop RK Traders in Dharampeth is owned by Vrushabh Ramesh Lalwani.
