People in large numbers arrived in the city today to visit Deekshabhoomi on the occasion of 63rd Dhamma chakra Pravartan diwas today.
Deekshabhoomi is widely known for a massive architectural structure and signifies peace and harmony. Being a sacred monument in Buddhist culture, it is visited every year by thousands of people from every part of our nation.
This year the day was celebrated with great zeal and fervour. Amid tight security, all the needed arrangements were by concerned authorities at various spots in the city and special care was taken towards cleanliness.
Around 400 officers were deployed at Deekshabhoomi and nearby area for the security of people visiting the shrine. 600 personnel are deployed across the city for the protection of pilgrims. 250 CCTV cameras have also been installed in Deekshabhoomi and in nearby areas to keep avoid any disturbance.
The sacred spot is expected to have more than seven lakh visitors on the day of Dhammachakra Pravartan.
