Vaibhav Andhare & Amit Thatte, 2 Nagpur City Businessmen & Athletes who train under the guidance of Amit Samarth’s Miles N Milers academy finished the 42.2K Berlin Marathon in 4 hrs 20 min. and 4hrs 50 min.respectively. They are also the members of Orange City Runners Society of Nagpur.
Berlin Marathon is a part of the World Major Marathons which consists of Berlin, Tokyo, London, Chicago, New York & Boston. This duo aspires to run the balance of the world marathon majors also.
Keninisa Bekele, the Eithiopian Runner, missed his world record here by running 2:01:43 seconds and getting the 1st position. Eluid Kipchoge made the world record last year by running 2:01:41 hours.
Notably, Berlin marathon is the fastest marathon in the world having more than 9 world records to its credit since its inception.
