Recently the Nagpur Municipal Corporation has sent a proposal to the state government seeking the benefits of 7th pay commission (CPC).The proposal was sent after the general body meeting of the civic body. As per the information, the finance department has prepared the August month bills as per the 7th CPC expecting approval by the government. However, even after the first week of the September, the approval has yet to come and the state government has not taken any decision in this matter.
A GR issued by the state government stated that the employees of NMC will get October month salary before the Diwali, but on October 9 the said GR was cancelled. And all the hopes of the employees shattered and they are highly disappointed by it.
And the civic administration has not prepared the salary bills for August month due to the delay of approval. And it had allotted token salary to the employees and teachers on the basis of July month. Due to the online salary system, before the utilization of earlier month’s account new bills cannot be uploaded in the system. In this context, the NMC has to provide salary of September on basis of July month.
As per the civic chief directives, the accounts and finance officer issued a circular on September 11 and asked the entire department HODs to submit September and October month’s bills before October18.
