The Corporate Interaction Committee of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Nagpur has recently organised the third edition of ‘Netritva’- an HR conclave. The inaugural session began with the lighting of the lamp by Manoj K Prasad, Vice-President, Digital, Talent Development at Reliance Industries Ltd, Megh Risaldar, Chief Experience Officer, Enable HR Advisory Services, Dr Subhajit Bhattacharyya, Director, IMT Nagpur and Dr S Senthil Kumar, Professor- HRM and Chairperson CIC, IMT Nagpur. The keynote speaker, Manoj K Prasad spoke about the inclusion of technologies in up scaling the role of HR in an organisation. The enriching session by Megh Risaldar shed light on the changing scope of human resource development and how the growing digitisation is affecting it. The first day marked its end with the students competing in the case analysis competition that was judged by the panel of esteemed guests and faculty members.
The second day of ‘Netritva’ also comprised informative sessions conducted by senior HR heads from reputed organisations like Reliance Industries Ltd, Reliance Jio and Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. The sessions conducted encompassed various aspects of HR management based on the topic ‘The Role of HR in Digital Workplace’. Harjeet Khanduja, Vice-President, HR at Reliance Jio, addressed the first year PGDM students on culture-building, change of paradigm, valuation of skills and the edge that humans have over technology, even in a well-digitised workplace. Aniruddha Khekale, Group Human Resources Director, Emerson Automation Solutions, shared his insights with the students on the vast scope of a HR executive and how it is not limited to only recruitment and payroll management, as conventionally misconstrued by most individuals. The lecture by Dinesh Mishra, Director HR, Abbott Healthcare Pvt Ltd focused on how adopting technologies and being agile can be the key to succeed in the industry. The conclusion of the conclave was marked by a panel discussion with all the dignitaries.
