Nagpur city is facing a peculiar situation. On the one hand, there is a surge in the demand for liquefied petroleum gas or LPG ahead of the festive season. On the other, there is an impending supply crunch. The cylinder delivery vans are spotted with full of cylinders, and in spite of the situation, the consumers are not getting cylinders on time. And many incidents are reported in this regard, Manisha Shambharkar, the resident of tent line in Mohannagar has stated that on October 12, she booked the cylinder. Even she has got a message that she will get the cylinder after 7 days, it was not delivered.
There are many customers who have raised the same complaint. Even though; the concerned gas companies have not taken measures to solve the problem. The consumers were tried to contact FDO-1 and gas company officials they were unable to contact with them. It has been reported that the recent polls, many stalls were set up for providing tea and food for the party men and large number of cylinders were used.
