The students of DPS Lava celebrated Diwali in a very different away by playing a cricket match against Apang Mahila Bal Vikas Sanstha’s Ashadeep Blind Women’s cricket team recently.
The day began with a special assembly where a thought-provoking skit was presented. The assembly was followed by a friendly cricket match. This amazing and awe-inspiring event was organized by the Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision and the Interact Club of DPS Lava Nagpur. The teams played six overs an innings match. Every player took home a participation certificate and a medal.
The Bravehearts, the dynamic visually impaired girls of Ashadeep of  Mahila Balvikas Sanstha, Nagpur were felicitated with a  glittering trophy. resident Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision  Sohrab Kanga, P and  President Apang Mahila Balvikas Sanstha, Nagpur Dr. Pratima Shastri were the guests of honour. Rotarians and esteemed members of the Sanstha also graced the occasion.
The match was played in keeping with the guidelines laid down by the Blind Cricket Association of India.
