The second chapter of Shelter Home Makeover Project, ‘Backyard Weekend Fundraiser’ organised by Dr Shrikant Jichkar Foundation’s Zero Gravity, was held recently at Mure Lawn, Helen Mure Home for Aged, variety Square.
This time it was for renovating a shelter for aged into a beautiful home. With the help of funds raised in the first chapter of their fundraisers, Zero Gravity transformed a dilapidated homeless shelter for 100 juvenile girls into a comfortable, beautiful home under their ‘Shelter Makeover Project’ in 2018. With the same passion and enthusiasm, they yet again organised another fundraiser under which a social cause that demands public’s attention immediately was addressed. They raised funds to build and install special playground equipment for specially-abled children with a motto to create and spread awareness amongst the society and change the idea of playground and parks by making them equally accessible for children of all abilities.
Zero Gravity was back with one of its kind idea and recently organised yet another fundraiser under title ‘Backyard Weekend Fundraiser.’ The funds raised will be used to renovate shelter for aged with an aim to provide comfortable space to live a happy life. The efforts taken by the team of Zero Gravity to bring about colossal change in the lives of the people at the old age shelter of city is worth applauding.
