The education system of the Nagpur district is currently facing a crisis which is adversely affecting the academic activities of the schools. It has been reported that many schools in rural areas are facing the issue of shortage of teachers. And the administrations of the many schools have taken teachers on loan to carry out academic activities. As per information, the Narkhed and Ramtek tehsils are having severe crisis. Another mounting problem is that the teachers in many schools are now retiring. And government has not taken steps to fill the vacant posts. The process to adjust teachers in privately aided schools is also stopped. And in Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools, teachers are going from one school to other to carry out the activities.
As per the information, I, 531 schools in city coming under Zilla Parishad and around 4000 teachers are working there. And these schools are having two or more teachers. And more than 150 seats are vacant in ZP.On the contrary; the private primary schools are having additional 500 teachers. And these teachers will be adjusted in ZP, NMC schools.
Apart from the issue, the 13 tehsil of the district, only four posts of the Block Education Officer have been filled yet. It seems that the administration is not giving much importance on these matters.
