A promising initiative indeed, the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University has recently decided to cease serving drinking water in sealed bottles. This move was resorted after the appeal by the PM Narendra Modi to not to use single use plastic. Earlier the different departments of university have purchased huge quantities of drinking water bottles. And in the Senate meeting on Friday the drinking water was served in stainless steel glasses covered by steel plates.
Apart from it, the senate was also taken a resolution to maintain the cleanliness in the university premises also cleanliness in affiliated colleges. During this occasion a resolution was also put forward to celebrate platinum jubilee of Azad Hind Sena which was formed by Netaji Subashchandra Bose on October 21,1943.The other different issues were discussed in the meeting like inclusion of various subjects under one faculty also constituted a committee to the arrangement of faculties.
