As part of the sensitization campaign, Save Merit Save Nation (SMSN) has urged all graduates to get registered as a voter by November 5 for State Graduates constituency elections to be held in 2020.
All graduates have to download the form from Save Merit save the Nation Facebook group and fill in the details and submit the same at respective tehsil office along with One Recent Photocopy of Aadhar, Copy of Degree/mark sheet prior to Nov. 2016 and Marriage Certificate/Name change Gazette for married woman or PAN card or Passport copy with husband name.
SMSN has reiterated that those who were registered in 2014 are also required to register afresh as old registration now stand canceled as per government communique.
More than 110 communities and groups have come together united to join under Save Merit Save Nation (SMSN) forum expressing concern over reducing the number of seats for open category students from the school, colleges, post-graduation and jobs due to increase in the reservation to 74% in the state of Maharashtra.
SMSN members across all castes, communities and religions desire to limit reservation as per supreme court capping of 50 percent and attempt to involve all other communities to ensure that balance 50 percent reservation is given on a weighted indexing scoring system so that the benefits go to real genuine needy every time.
