Continuing its commitment to the betterment of society, Airports Authority of India, Nagpur Airport today organized a “Bicycle Rally†in a series of events during the Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 with the theme ‘Integrity- A way of life’.
A week-long activity had been planned during the Vigilance Awareness Week from 28/10/2019-02/11/2019. Events like motivating the passengers to take e-pledge, drawing competition, essay competition, Integrity pledge by all the employees, distribution of anti-graft posters and placards to the passenger etc have been undertaken by Airports Authority of India in Nagpur Airport.
In the same spirit, a Bicycle Rally was organized to mark the vigilance awareness week 2019, in which more than 50 riders, both male and female employees of Airports Authority of India, Nagpur participated. The rally was flagged off from the Air Traffic Services Complex, Nagpur Airport at 1100 hours by Yudhisthir Sahoo, General Manager (Air Traffic Management). The rally then proceeded to the Cargo Terminal and Passenger waiting area of the Airport terminal building, where anti- graft slogans were chanted and public awareness campaign was run.
The rally than took off for its course via the Wardha road to the Hotel Radisson Blue junction and back to the Air Traffic Services complex. The event saw a very enthusiastic participation from all the employees of Nagpur Airport, especially the young employees. The Sonegaon Police Station provided good support through traffic management along the route including the Wardha road during the rally.
In its social welfare commitment, Airports Authority of India had initiated this rally to involve general public and spread the awareness among the public about the evils of corruption. The rally received a very warm welcome from the public. People enthusiastically joined in chanting the anti-corruption slogans with the rallying officials Enroute.
The logistics for the rally were arranged by B.S. Patil, Manish Rathour, R.B. Nadnadwar, Lalit Singh Thakur and Tushar Burman under the guidance of Yudhishthir Sahoo.
