City’s most crowded open mic group ‘Urcoffeetalks’ recently completed one year. To mark this, a special edition show was organised at The Blue Door Restaurant. Two hours show included varieties of talent including poetry, musical performances, storytelling and many more. Being the anniversary special show, team came up with an idea to invite performers from yearlong shows. Unique idea of no host show made the event even more exciting where the performers themselves introduced the succeeding one.
City talent came up with poetry by Rutuja Kulkarni, Ajinkya Mahulkar, Asawari Deshpande, Tejal Dasarwar and a poetic conversation by Abhishek Kane and Apurva Bharadwaj. Events included story of life by Dr Swapna Khanzode, audience was also mesmerised by the musical performances by singer Sahil Verma, Shruti Baiwar and flutist Margesh Sapate.
Urcoffeetalks is a team of city engineers who started this idea of uplifting the talent irrespective of age, language and genre. Team includes Kalyani Joshi, Kalyani Namjoshi, Ketan Kulkarni and Tushar Namjoshi. Kalyani Joshi said that the motive of bringing crowd together and spending a Sunday appreciating the talent is definitely fulfilled. Stepping into the 2nd year is a responsibility to come up with more innovative ideas, added Kalyani.
