The Maha Metro Rail project is providing good opportunities for industry and employment along with overall development. This project is versatile. More than 3 companies from Nagpur are working in the metro. Apart from this, many industrial units of Mumbai, Pune are supplying the material here. The idea was given by Managing Director of Maha Metro, Dr. Brijesh Dixit expressed. He was addressing the attendees at the Vendor Development Program organized at the Civil Lines, Udyog Bhavan Hall.
Vendor development program was organized by the Chamber of Small Industries Association (Kosia), MIDC Industries Association (Hingna), District Industries Center and in collaboration with Maha Metro.
Dr. Dixit said that the work of Maha Metro Rail project has been going on in the metropolis for the last 4 years. Historical development of the city is happening through the project. Efforts are being made to complete the work in a stipulated period costing more than Rs 10000 crores. He said, there is still time for industrial development and employment through the project.
Phase II work of the Maha Metro project is proposed. This work will continue. Apart from this, there are good opportunities for vendors to work in Pune, Nasik, and Thane too. Many projects are coming here with the help of the Central and State Government.
Referring to the Maha Metro project being a golden opportunity for the entrepreneurs of the Nagpur Industrial Area, he said that if the initiative is taken towards the construction of small and large parts in the metro rail, surely industrial development will be accelerated and employment opportunities will be available.
Grabbing the attention of the attendees, Dr Dixit said that initiative is being taken towards setting up Nagpur Metro Coach Fountain. It is working towards creating DPR. All the favorable conditions remain. Given the needs of the future, the need of the Metro Coach Fountain is being expressed. Metro Rail service is being launched in metros and big cities all over the country.
Managing Director said that this is not only benefits Nagpur but also will be a boon for Vidarbha, Maharashtra and the country.
The program was launched by the Chief Guest of the workshop. Dr.Dixit MSME Director, PM Parlewar lit the lamp. Senior executives present at the workshop were guided by the future Wenders. Vendor registration continues throughout the day. The program will be administered by SM Patwardhan, welcome Speech was done by MIA President Shri. Shegaonkar, President of Kosia Shri Mayank Shukla and Sandeep Darvekar presented the program. Gajendra Bharti gave the introductory speech.
