Recently the state excise department has raided three hotels in city named Delhi Darbar, Food Garage and Jailer Kitchen which are situated on the Wardha road. As per information, these hotels have given space to customers for consuming liquor without permission.
Excise inspector Raosaheb Kore and API Sakharam Mole have received the information that liquor is being served in these hotels without permission. After that, an action has been taken under the directive of Zone 4 DCP Nirmala Devi, deputy commissioner of excise Mohan Varde and Superintendent Pramod Sonone. During the raid, they have seized liquor worth Rs.12500 from the customers. And a case has been registered against hotel owners Mukesh Govindrao Khawas, Ashish Khadatkar, and Gulshan Ghanshyam Datre. Action was also taken against customers. However, they were released after medical check-up with a notice and they have been asked to appear before the court on November 13.
As per reports, Excise inspector Raosaheb Kore has been assigned with the additional responsibility of excise departments which includes Kalamna, Hudkeshwar, Beltarodi, Sakkardara, Nadanvan, Ajni, Yashodharnagar and Kotwali police station areas.
