The increase in prices of crude oil in international market has badly affected the prices of petrol. And the PSU oil marketing companies are raising prices of petrol by 10 to 20 paise per litre per day.
As per information, on Monday prices of petrol were reported to reach at Rs.80.83 per litre. And on November 5 the petrol prices stood at Rs.78.72 per litre. After that the prices are rising continually. On November 9, its rate was Rs.78.96 per litre and on November 10 the rate was Rs.79.16 per litre, and on November 11 the prices of petrol was reached at Rs.79.31 per litre. On November 19, its price was Rs.80.64 per litre. And on November 22 it was Rs.80.45 per litre. And on November 24, the prices further increased to Rs.80.64 per litre and on November 26, the prices were 80.85 per litre. And as per information, the prices of petrol may cross the barrier of Rs.81 per litre.
And in this situation, the consumers have demanded the central government to bring the fuel under the ambit of GST so to reduce the petrol prices and provide the benefit to consumers.
