Pro Health Foundation is organising Central’s India’s biggest cycle race ‘KRIMS Tiger Cyclothon’ on December 22.
Addressing media person director of the foundation Dr Amit Samarth said the 160 km, 100 km, 50 km and 30 km races will be flagged off from Divisional Sports Complex whereas the 10 km race for 7 to 10 years boys and girls will begin at RPTS square.
Dr Samarth said the main objective behind organising this event is to promote sports and lifestyle for cycling, to support Fit India movement of Government of India and to spread awareness of Tiger conservation and to promote tourism.
Dr Samarth said total prize money for the event is Rs 3 lakh. Each participant in 160 km, 100 km and 50 km categories will get cycling jersey whereas T-Shirts will be given to the participants of 30 km and 10 km categories.
Apart from it the participants will get energy drinks, energy bars, fruits, timing chip, finishers medals, timing certificates and refreshments. The registration fees for 160 km and Rs 100 km event is Rs 12,000, Rs 700 for 50 km, Rs 500 for 30 km and Rs 400 for 10 km.
Dr Samarth said around 2000 cyclists are expected to participate in the event. About the race route, Dr Samarth said 160 km race will start at Mankapur stadium and will proceed towards Pandhurna and then back to Mankapur.
100 km race (Mankapur stadium to Saoner MIDC and back to Mankapur), 50 km (Mankapur Stadium to Patansawangi toll plaza and back to Mankapur) and 30 km (Mankapur to Pipla Fata and back to Mankapur).
