City businessmen Rajendra Jaiswal and Darshan Singh Chhatre who are the members of Miles N Millers Endurance Sports Academy successfully completed their 70.3 Ironman at Bahrain recently.
While interacting with media persons Jaiswal who completed the event in 7 hours and 10 minutes said , “Two years back I was complete not swimmers but then trained myself and learned the swimming, then sea swimming. I also trained myself for cycling. It is a big achievement for me as last year I failed to complete the race”, he said.
Similarly Chhatre completed the event in 7.11 hours. To add to the success of Miles and Millers Endurance Sports Academy four athletes Jitendra Patel from Udaipur Dr Parag Tapre and Dr Rajendra Sonone (both from Akola) and Dr Abhinav Konher from Nagpur completed full and half ironman races at Busselton in Australia recently.
Out of them Udaipur businessman Patel did fulll Ironman in 14 hours,09 minutes. Pediatric surgeon Dr Parag Tapre completed Ironman 70-3 in 7 hours and 07 minutes and this is his third Ironman race.
Nagpur’s Orthopedic surgeon too did Ironman 70-3 in Busselton in 7 hours and 7 minutes and this is his second Ironman race. Akola’s Dr Sonone succ3essfully completed his third Ironman race in 8.30 hours.
Ironman and Ironman 70.3 are famous international events and has to cover 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running in 17 hours. Similarly for Ironman 70.3 the distance is 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling, 21 km running within a cut off time of 8.30 hours.
All of them are busy professional but have spared time from their busy life to train themselves and become Ironman. They all give the credit of their success to the director of Pro Health Foundation Dr Amit Samarth.
